Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very new build so everything is clean and well presented, inside the apartment. All the necessary kitchen utensils, microwave etc. Great location, as in proximity, to the centre.

Negative: The building itself is bad, not clean and our floor, 3rd, had a strong smell of urine and damp, dust. A very serious issue is the access door to the building, the door release button is at the end of the hallway and only releases the door when it’s held down, if you are alone and don’t have a key with you then you can not get out of the building, there is no fire escape as far as I can see. I met a few people stuck at the door over a few days. In the apartment the sockets are wired to the light switches, this is bizarre, it means if you want to charge your phone overnight next to the bed you have to have the light on. Heating didn’t work the first day and night because the builders downstairs kept tripping the fuse. While the apartment is close to the centre it is on a street that is lined with waste collection areas that were overflowing every day. The plaza also seems to be a favourite daytime / nighttime drinking / shouting spot.

Summary: Nice looking apartment with quite a lot of issues.
